meet Caleigh, your new hairstylist
I first met Caleigh in hair school many many moons ago when we were young & freshly into adulthood with absolutely no clue about life…we sure thought we did, though! I’m so grateful we never lost touch or stopped loving on one another throughout life! we have been lucky enough over the years to be able create for each other & with each other!
I may be a beauty school drop out & not doing a thing with hair {my own mane shows…} but I sure ended up with some of the greatest friendships i’ve ever known from that chapter in my life, I have some of the greatest memories {& some of the greatest hair memories, thanks for the peacock pixie cut in cos school friend!} & it tickles my heart so much to see it all come full circle & being able to watch her take this passion of hers & consistently build on her career - it’s inspiring, it’s empowering & dang it…I’m just super proud of & happy for my friend!
we may not hang out as often as we want because we be grown ups busy doing mom thangs & clearly; getting down to business…but I know that this girl has a heart of pure gold, she would do anything for anyone, & she is just one of the sweetest souls you could have in your life & I am so so soooo grateful to have her in mine!
on Friday, I got to pay my gorgeous friend Caleigh a little visit in her cute little “work-in-progress” loft at Salon Lofts while she worked with a long time client. it was so fun listening to the stories of the different milestones in Caleigh’s business & professional life. to be honest, it was downright beautiful witnessing & capturing their client to stylist/stylist to client relationship…if your stylist remembers your very first color treatment from 8 years ago, you’ve got yourself a keeper!
she talked to me about her vision for her space; we almost put this off even longer because it isn’t quite where she wants it right now…but I would like to think that this little treat for herself & her business was just the Inspo she needed to make her next big, bold moves! & I cannot wait to see how she transforms her space this time! I just love seeing her creativity & her expression shine through her salon decor & branding. the whole business owning thing is art. no one can convince me otherwise.
after we finished up at the salon, we headed into downtown Fairborn to check out lefty’s for some coffee, album approval for a family album we had put together from their family session a few weeks ago, & a few more fun pictures…because, why the heck not!?
I just love when I get to work with business owners, bringing their personality into their business. after all, being a small business owner is something like magic in itself…behind every small business are people, people like me & you, putting everything on the line for this leap! when I am able to work with small businesses, it allows the opportunity to show your beautiful face to the customers you wish to reach!
people love buying from & supporting small business because they know there’s a person, a couple, a family doing a happy dance behind the scenes of every. single. purchase. imagine being able to connect with them before you even know they want what you’re selling them, imagine being able to put your face out there & your persona so when your dream customer/client walks through the door - you just know you already vibe. this is what small business owners dream of.
part of that Is the content we choose to put out. it doesn’t matter the platform of your choice, but how are you displaying a little bit of human in your marketing? how are your dream customers relating to you? why do they need what you’re selling?
this is why investing in your dreams matter. & it’s allllll in the details, my ceo friends.
